Year Gone By

Three New Stars

Upon the Path

Anybody who’s interviewed for infotex since before the pandemic knows that we talk a lot about the “compliance path” before you even get through the first 30 minutes of meeting us.  And anybody who’s ever gone through that compliance path knows it’s really just the start of a longer trip that gets updated on a cyclical basis.  You could say the four basic truths of information security are about a path that goes through the eight systems of security.

Well, of course!!  Our Clients trust us to empower their risk management practices because we practice them ourselves.

This month we’re noticing that three people have been here for a year.  We’re not really big on work anniversaries here – until you get to 10 or 15 years – but we’re remembering the mixed excitement and skepticism that we felt in 2023.  About a lot of things.

But it was around a year ago when Holt, William, and Nathan – among others who didn’t make it – started at our company.   They’ve been through the initial compliance path and are looking to contribute to the Policy Awareness Conference this March, which will be their second.  One has fully taken the reins of network administration, the other of social engineering, and the other of artificial intelligence research.   They’ve already written articles, given talks, and participated in the development of new policies and controls.  They’ve even seen their suggested new services be implemented.

They can tell you our mission, and they know the policy chiasmus by heart.  (Because we’re in the business of enforcing policy, we enforce policy in our business).

Most important – they’ve each selected rather cool internal titles, like Networkmancer.

And the compliance path goes on …
