BUSINESS NEWS

ANNOUNCING OUR 4TH CYBERPOET WINNER

infotex, a managed security service provider based in Lafayette, Indiana, announced, after a repeat win by Matt Jolley in 2024, at the 2025 infotex Jam that Adam Reynolds, our Senior Staff Auditor and Compliance Officer, has been awarded the 4th Cyb3rP0e+ award.

“It’s awesome to see this grow into the 4th year of this initiative at infotex,” says Michael Hartke, Executive Vice President. “Adam is an excellent speaker and writer and we hear our Clients and the cybersecurity community finds a lot of value in his content.”

“It’s not easy to muster up the content we continually provide to our Clients,” says Dan Hadaway, original recipient of the first CyberPoet award.  “I always joked that I was a CyberPoet,” Hadaway added, “using metaphors analogies and similes in my content.  We want to encourage that going forward.”

“When I was asked my opinion, the answer was obvious,” says Bryan Bonnell, Senior Data Security Analyst and the team member responsible for getting our content up on the website and out to the world. “Adam not only wrote some great articles about compliance issues, but he also makes great videos!” Bryan added.

What does one get when named the Cyb3rP0e+ in 2025?

  • $5,000 cash
  • Special parking at the Fifth Fold (where we hold infotex team events)
  • Use of the Cyb3rP0e+ insignia from 07/01/25 through 06/30/2026.
  • Use of Dan’s Wizard Gown whenever appropriate (pending advance approval)
  • Two votes (of five) in selecting the 2026 Cyb3rP0e+ Award recipient.

“I was privileged to be on the committee that unanimously nominated Adam, including the previous CyberPoet Alumni” says Hartke. “We love to see the camaraderie and mentorship that develops through this program.”

“And what I like about the concept of poet,” Dan Hadaway added, “is that poets speak as well as write.  I can see this going to speakers as well as writers in the future.”

This year’s recipient, Adam Reynolds, has been writing articles for infotex since 2018. Most have been solo articles, but he has also collaborated with fellow CyberPoet recipient Dan Hadaway in their Reynolds | Hadway series. The bulk of Adam’s articles focus on the compliance and regulation side of our business – often writing about new guidance (including writing and then reading our Guidance Summaries), and other parts of auditing such as pretexting and incident response testing. He also took over the annual duty of updating our R7 list from Dan in 2022!

Adam earned his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2020 and then became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 2025.

Adam lives in Dayton, Ohio, where he enjoys exploring the outdoors, tabletop gaming, flight simulators, and 3D printing.
