Trojan Found in Battery Charger Software Download

A download for the Energizer DUO battery charger software has been found to contain a Trojan horse program. The malware is capable of sending files to the attackers or downloading even more malware.

Initial investigations indicate that the Trojan has been in the software since May 2007. US-CERT has issued an advisory about the issue. The software involved is a Windows application that allows users to view the charging status of the batteries.
