Looking for Mules

Here’s an interesting article on today’s Washington Post about how organized hackers are using “money mules” to help launder proceeds of successful hack attacks.

The article, by Brian Krebs, walks through an example (the September breach at Paychoice). I like the article because it also shows how the FDIC is learning from these hacks, and advising banks of what they’re learning.
