Mark your calendars for October 13th and 14th. The Indiana Bankers Association is planning to hold the IT Security Conference at the Hilton in Fishers on those two days.
I’m really excited about the slate of speakers and activities we’re starting to conceptualize. The high priority topic-areas are as follows: New Fraud Schemes, Something about Risk Assessing that is a “new angle.” We were thinking ERM but I’m worried it might be too early for that. Ongoing Security Awareness, Mobile Banking, Endpoint Security, Communicating Information Security News, Justifying Security Costs (or “how to ensure cost effectiveness in security expenditures”), Breakthrough Technologies that will change banking forever, Selling Security Concepts to your Management Team.
The FDIC will be there. And . . . . . I’ve volunteered to learn how to hack a website under 15 minutes and will be demonstrating that in the short opening demonstration called: “Hack Attack Live! If Dan can do it, we’re ALL in trouble!!!”
I guess I better make a call to my good friend Matt!
Dan’s New Leaf is a weekly blog post by Dan about whatever happens to be on his mind . . . security-related at least.
